Austin Central Library

Designed by renowned regional architecture firm Lake|Flato, along with national design firm Shepley Bulfinch, the 198,000-square-foot building represents a significant moment in the creation of Austin’s civic community space. Stated in the Austin Curbed article, “The structure connects beautifully with its surroundings from both indoor and outdoor spaces, and its design is a perfect example of the kind of ‘Central Texas modernism’ that made Lake|Flato’s reputation as well as one that is completely apt for its specific site.” Built with Lueders Roughback wall cladding, the project reflects the versatility of this material.  This landmark showcases its strength, sustainability, and timeless architectural appeal.

PGA – HQ – Frisco Texas

Overcoming the Covid Supply Chain Challenges, the PGA HQ masterfully was guided by Brazos Masonry and Adolfson & Peterson for the right execution.  Per the project page for Page Architects, found here, they  worked within the local context and climate as well as utilizing appropriate building materials that helps to create a unique and iconic facility. The use of stone, for example, is important in creating identity, and its implementation is honest, while at the same time efficient and economical. Utilizing stone that is quarried regionally and is of a robust depth both improves the building’s energy performance as well as creates the character of Texas architecture.
